the-crimson-lotus-alchemist asked: No, no. Alchemists are created, not born. Perhaps there is a book out there waiting for you. Alchemy does look like that - to an extent. My advice? Find a certain type of alchemy that appeals to you, and work from there. Some people like plant alchemy, others prefer metal, then there's elemental alchemy - some even use fire, although that probably isn't for you.
Tha’ is bloody brilliant! I tried to ask the Doctor if we could go searchin’ for a book somewhere, n’ ‘e said no.
What a stick in the mud.
Care to share any lessons, mate? I’d love to ‘ear from ya - after all, ya seem pretty brilliant.

the-crimson-lotus-alchemist asked: Something like that, yes. You can't change mercury into gold, of course, but you could give it a new shape. I suppose that's alchemy in a nutshell, but I've no doubt you could understand in - perhaps you'd even be good at it. It's not hard to master the basics. And don't be like that. You seem very smart.
I could learn it? Don’t you ‘ave to be…I dunno, born with it? Or is it jus’ in some dusty ol’ library book somewhere? I think it’d be pretty brilliant to do it! Tha’ way I could do a little more ‘round the TARDIS. Hate to sound shallow, bu’ would it look impressive? I’d imagine it’d look like:

Probably no’. Tha’ would be OK too, it’d jus’ be nice to learn it.
Thanks! I’ll look up some more on it. You seem like you’re pretty good at it, any pointers?

the-crimson-lotus-alchemist asked: You could say I know him. We talk. He seems to like you quite a bit. And I must say, it's an honor to finally meet you. *takes off his hat to her*
Oh! Tha’ makes loads more sense - ‘e’s always stoppin’ to chat with folks. Of course ‘e does! I’m his companion! ‘S nice to meet ya too, mate!

N’ I hate to sound stupid, bu’ wha’ is alchemy? Is it tha’ thing where you turn one thing into another? Sorry, the Doctor’s not very good at explainin’ stuff to me; no’ smart enough, I s’pose.

the-crimson-lotus-alchemist asked: Ah, you must be Miss Tyler. I've heard much about you.

Sorry, are you friends with the Doctor?

Sor’ of Sad
We landed on this planet, today. It was brilliant, beau’iful really. N’ me, Jack, n’ the Doctor spent the day eatin’ n’ talkin’ - it was nice. Then I go’ a bit lost - jus’ tryin’ to pop into a shop n’ then I was gone! Like poof n’ no more Rose.
Only it was a transport, n’ not a dangerous one - there was no alien there to try n’ kill me. Bu’…I was standin’ at a small waterfall. It was the brightest blue I’d ever seen - bluer than the TARDIS even. Around me were these wildflowers, no’ really wildflowers bu’ close enough, the water rushed over, down the rocks n’ sprayed over the flowers - makin’ ‘em shine. It was a forest, a little forest ‘round me.
I tried to smile, ‘cause it was so pretty, bu’ I was cryin’ instead. I was suddenly so sad - like the sight of this place was jus’ the saddest thing I’d ever seen. I wanted to curl up n’ cry. It felt safe here, it felt safe n’ warm - like parents should be. Like my dad would’ve been - only ‘e wasn’t. Because Dad is gone.

N’ I remember Mum n’ I sittin’ there, on the beat up ol’ couch we ‘ad before we go’ some new furniture.

She used to tell me tha’ Dad loved me, tha’ Dad used to look at me n’ get this look on ‘is face tha’ made her wanna cry. N’ I felt like ‘e was lookin’ at me, there. Watchin’ me, Rose Tyler, shoppe-girl n’ traveler.

Behind me, somethin’ moved. When I turned I saw Jack come ou’ of the trees. ‘E came up to me, n’ I wiped away the tears.
“You OK?” ‘E asked.
I smiled (well, I ‘ope I smiled) n’ said, “‘M OK. How’d you find me?”
“The Doctor and I stormed into to the shop cause we thought we heard you scream - but I found myself here.” Jack told me. Together we walked through the forest n’ found our way out (good thing for the TARDIS key - it started warmin’ up when we got close).
Apparently, the shop was ‘protected’ against ‘umans ‘cause we inflicted mass destruction in the planet’s ‘istory. The Doctor ended up yellin’ somethin’ fierce at the owner - who gave us free stuff - n’ tha’ was tha’.
We left.
Bu’, still, I can’t shake the feelin’ of wantin’ to do nothin’ bu’ cry for the next three days.
Maybe the Doctor can take me to see ‘im…one more time.

deenerkayla asked: Hello Rose! How are you doing? Wonderful I hope. Anyway I have a question/favor to ask. You see I have this nephew, who I love with my whole heart, and he's recently told me that he wants to be an astronaut. "I wanna float around and see the stars" is his reason. Now I know that kids can always change their dreams, but just in case...have you visited Earth in 2030? Is it a good year for space travel? Is the Earth still even here? An aunt worries ya know. If you can't tell me I understand.
He wan’s to be an astronaut! Tha’s brilliant! Warms the cockles of my heart, it does.

I ‘ave been to 2030. The Doctor n’ I took a trip by mistake - ‘e was aimin’ for 2013 n’ ‘e sor’ of missed. N’ by sor’ of, I mean ‘e was jus’…I don’t even know where ‘e was goin’.
I’m no’ gonna lie, 2030 is a hard year - the space program was shut down in 2010 - bu’ yes, we do go back to the stars. Russia is there, the US is there, the UK is startin’ to go. Bu’, if your nephew wants to see the stars - sail to ‘em and become par’ of the nebulae that burn out there in the vacuum of space, then I recommend ‘e jus’…go for it.
Space is never safe. Sorry, bu’ it’s true. It’s dangerous; blackness n’ fear n’ despair, bu’ it’s brilliant. It’s beautiful n’ bright n’ perfect in ways human never were. So, no, it’s never a good idea for space travel - bu’ it’s always worth it. If ‘e wants to sail among the stars, then tha’s jus’ the risk that comes with it.
N’ believe someone whose been there, the end of the Earth? S’ not for a long time.
